Every step toward strength starts with connection. At Rising Strides Therapy Ranch, our horses meet each participant exactly where they are, building confidence, resilience, and skills that last well beyond the arena. Whether through licensed hippotherapy or peer-led activities, there's a path here for every journey.

We partner with licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists who incorporate hippotherapy into their treatment plans, using the movement of the horse as a therapy tool to support each client's individual goals. The horse's rhythmic, three-dimensional movement closely mirrors the human gait, helping build strength, balance, coordination, and postural control, while also supporting sensory processing, focus, and communication skills.

Horses are true partners in the healing process. Through guided, hands-on activities, participants learn to communicate, build trust, and develop emotional awareness while working alongside these intuitive animals. Each interaction fosters growth in confidence, empathy, and connection, helping individuals discover new strengths.

Our adaptive riding program helps individuals with disabilities develop independence, confidence, and self-efficacy through horseback riding. With individualized instruction and supportive adaptations, riders build balance, coordination, and trust—both with their horse and themselves—while experiencing the joy and freedom of movement that riding provides.

The Veteran & First Responder Equine Resilience Program is a four-level experiential program serving veterans and first responders throughout the Treasure Valley. We work with horses as our partners to develop basic horsemanship skills while building in the natural awareness, resilience, and leadership that horses require. We meet participants where they are and progress at a pace that respects both their strength and their experience.
